Pundit Predicts Leeds United Will Secure Seven Points from Next Three Matches
Football League legend Sam Parkin has predicted that Leeds United will secure seven points from their next three Championship matches. Parkin’s prediction comes after Leeds returned to winning ways with a 2-0 victory over Millwall at Elland Road.
Leeds face QPR at Loftus Road on Saturday, followed by matches against struggling Swansea and Luton. Parkin believes that Leeds will be much improved from their 4-0 defeat to QPR in the same fixture last season.
“That [QPR’s 4-0 win over Leeds last season] will serve fresh in the memory and the night the automatic promotion dream started to falter, so they will have to be a lot better than they were on that night,” Parkin said.
Parkin expects Leeds to take a minimum of seven points from their next three matches, which would maintain their push for automatic promotion. With nine games remaining, Leeds are in a strong position, with only two of their remaining opponents sitting in the top half of the table.
Leeds United’s Remaining Fixtures
Leeds’ remaining fixtures are:
- QPR (away)
- Swansea (home)
- Luton (away)
- Middlesbrough (away)
- Preston (home)
- Oxford (away)
- Stoke (home)
- Bristol City (home)
- Plymouth (home)
If Leeds mirror their reverse fixture results against these sides, they will obtain 23 points, reaching a total of 102. With Burnley and Sheffield United set to play each other, Leeds can feel confident that promotion is a real likelihood.
