Manchester United Set to Make €50 Million Bid for Jarrad Branthwaite
Manchester United are reportedly preparing to make a €50 million offer to sign Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite in the summer transfer window. According to Fichajes, the Red Devils are keen to test Everton’s resolve with a fresh bid, having seen at least one offer rejected by the Toffees last summer.
Branthwaite, 22, has been in impressive form for Everton this season, helping the team to a nine-game unbeaten run in the Premier League. His performances have caught the attention of several top clubs, including Liverpool and Manchester United, who are eager to strengthen their defensive options.
Everton, however, are determined to keep hold of Branthwaite and are eager to convince him to sign a new deal at the club. The Toffees see the young defender as a vital part of their immediate future, particularly as they prepare to move into their new stadium next season.
Branthwaite’s current contract at Everton runs until 2027, with the option to extend it by another season. This gives the Toffees some level of control over the defender’s future, and they are likely to reject any offer that does not meet their valuation of the player.
According to reports, Everton’s asking price for Branthwaite could be as high as double the €50 million that Manchester United are willing to offer. This would make it a significant challenge for the Red Devils to sign the defender, and they may need to reconsider their offer if they are serious about landing Branthwaite.
