£780k-per-year Celtic Player Set to Leave Parkhead
Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has confirmed that Greg Taylor is set to leave the club on a free transfer once his contract expires at the end of the season.
Rodgers’ Praise for Taylor
Rodgers expressed his admiration for Taylor, saying: “I love him as a person but I love his game because I think his game is suited to how we work.” However, with Jeffrey Schlupp and Kieran Tierney set to join the club, Taylor’s prospects of regular minutes have been plunged into doubt.
Taylor’s Celtic Career
Taylor has made 208 appearances for Celtic, scoring 9 goals and providing 32 assists. He has won 10 trophies during his time at the club, including multiple Scottish Premiership titles.
Transfer Rumors
Celtic are reportedly interested in signing Augsburg star Elvis Rexhbecaj, whose contract is set to expire in 2026. The club is also keen to sign free-scoring attacker Daizen Maeda to a new contract, with talks ongoing.
Celtic’s Summer Plans
Rodgers has already started working on potential summer reinforcements, with a focus on strengthening the midfield. The club is expected to make several key signings ahead of their Champions League qualifying campaign next season.
