West Ham Star Vladimir Coufal Hints at Reunion with David Moyes at Everton
West Ham United defender Vladimir Coufal has hinted that he could be reunited with his former manager David Moyes at Everton this summer. The 32-year-old right-back has found himself on the bench in recent months, with Aaron Wan-Bissaka preferred by manager David Moyes’ successor.
Coufal was signed by Moyes from Slavia Prague in 2020, and the pair had a strong relationship during their time together at West Ham. With Moyes now in charge at Everton, Coufal has been linked with a move to Goodison Park, and he has refused to rule out a reunion with his former boss.
“When I am free, anything can happen,” Coufal said. “But my priority is England, the best league in the world. I want to prove to myself week after week that I have what it takes.”
Coufal’s contract at West Ham expires at the end of June, and it appears that he will not be offered a new deal. This means that Everton will be able to sign him on a free transfer, and Moyes’ relationship with the defender could give the Toffees an edge in the transfer market.
While Coufal may not be the most exciting signing for Everton, he is a reliable and experienced defender who could provide valuable cover at right-back. With Ashley Young and Seamus Coleman both out of contract at the end of the season, Everton are likely to be in the market for a new right-back, and Coufal could fit the bill.
